The Project

This project began in 2023, when the land — long left untouched — was rediscovered.

For decades, much of what existed here had been hidden beneath dense vegetation and invasive species.

As the land was gradually cleared, its past began to reappear — stone terraces, irrigation systems and pathways that once supported a fully cultivated landscape.

What was uncovered revealed a place shaped by generations of manual work, where water was guided across the land using gravity alone, and where agriculture once defined everyday life.

Today, the project focuses on restoring and rethinking this landscape — working with its existing structures, supporting native ecosystems and carefully bringing it back into use.

This includes the regeneration of the land itself, as well as the gradual restoration of old ruins and buildings, which will become part of its future.

The aim is not to recreate the past, but to build on it — thoughtfully, sustainably and in dialogue with what is already here.

More than a retreat — a slowly evolving project shaped by restoration, nature and the history of the land.
